GLENDALE FOLK FESTIVAL 2010
We will be celebrating the first day of spring at the Glendale Folk & Heritage Festival 2010 at historic Sahuaro Ranch Park, playing a 30-minute set in the Fruit Packing Shed at 2 PM on Sunday. We did a morning gig at this same venue last year and had a great time – the smell of citrus blossoms was enough to knock you down.
The park has many cool features with antique tractors, blacksmithing demos and site tours but the main thing is a 150 folk musicians appearing on numerous stages, in workshops, and generally all about the grounds. As a special treat this year, D-Squared will be joined by our nephew Sean Poynter on percussion – the kid can play.
The Sahuaro Ranch Park is located at 9802 N. 59th Avenue in Glendale (map). Admission to the event is FREE. Further information and a complete schedule of events is available at glendaleaz.com/ParksAndRecreation/SpecialEvents.cfm .
Come celebrate one of the best springs in years with us.
I am stuck at home doing math homework. But if I leave the window open, I can smell orange blossoms. Have a great time at the Festival!
