D-Squared

D-Squared will be playing at the Courtyard Acoustic Stage on Sunday, May 1 @ 1:00 PM. We’ve wanted to play this stage for a long time, so finally, this is it! It’ll be up close and personal, and I doubt we’ll get blown off stage like it has threatened in years past. All the particulars can be found at their website. We will be trotting out an all slide guitar set. Now how often do you see a slide guitar paired up with a harp??

Now here’s a great idea! Andrew Johnson-Schmit, producer and host of Prescott Arts Beat on KJZA, has taken it upon himself to recognize the artistic talents that are scattered throughout the Prescott area. He has put together the First Annual Buckey Awards which will be held at 7:00 PM Saturday night, April 2, at the Hendrix Auditorium at Mile High Middle School, $10 ticket.

D-Squared, and 9 other musicians, have been nominated for the Outstanding Musical Artists category. The winners in all categories will be announced that night, along with the already chosen Lifetime Achievement Award going to our good friend, Jody Drake, who runs the Blue Rose Theater at Sharlot Hall. Congrats, Jody!
