I, too, remember when the saquaros stood like soldier sentinels in the desert. I saw everything your lyrics painted like a moving picture in my mind and felt a stab at the heart. I haven’t heard this song but I know the music will be as powerful as the words.

Awesome! I love seeing Don not quite know what to do - whether you’re taking a photo of him, or filming instead. You’re dangerous now! Like me!! Muahahahaha! This video is cool because I’ve always wanted to make video of Big Bug Station but it seems I’m always there at night and there isn’t enough light. Way to go Deb! Vlog on!

Yippy is the perfect dog - I know that because she’s not like any of our dogs or any dog we’ve ever had. Hmmm - wonder if there’s a pattern developing there.

Yippy and Mitchy-Boy renewed their friendship earlier today and probably rehashed old times back in Mayer when they were puppies.

Yippy - we’ll see you at the next concert in Glendale on 03/20.

Chills, chills and tears. If you think this is just a song protesting abuse of public lands, play it again a few times and listen to the lyrics and let them pull you deeper and deeper into the sands of understanding the darker side of our valiant nature.

Most people don’t write well when they’re pissed off, as a rule. Tend to wax a bit self indulgent. Don is a brilliant exception.

Don & Deb are perhaps my favorite songwriters on the planet, perhaps even the whole Big Sky Full of Dumb Stars.

Please come back to “The Mothership”! Oregon misses you! Jewel taught me “River Of Birds” last year, and I’ve been playing it for my friends telling them what you told us when you played it with Jewel during the first performance at their new place. You really have to record that one - I would love to be able to hear you play it again!!! Way to go, Don & Deb! Congratulations on getting this thing out. I teach on Thursday nights so unless I bring my class with me, I can’t make it to your launch party. Hmmm. Bring my class with me… That’s the best idea I’ve had all month! Perhaps I’ll see you there, and get a few new fans on board.
